Ever asked yourself...

“What happens to a temporary employee when the job is done?”

It’s a question I’ve been asked a lot of times, and the answer may just surprise you!!

Some of the most reliable and dedicated “temp” employees have worked with us for years on various assignments!! I can easily think of individuals like that.

One such person quickly comes to mind. They work a seasonal job and return to us each year to be placed at the same company or to a new one. We’re used to hearing from clients about the incredible effort they have put into the job. Once again, of course!! And almost every year, a company tries to convince them to be hired on full-time and give up on the “other” seasonal job.

Some assignments just end ... period. A project is done, or the peak period is over. Most employees simply ask us to help them find another position. So, we do that ASAP!

Finally, many “temps” are hired on full-time by the company to which they were assigned!!

Think about THAT in terms of a COMPANY-EMPLOYEE-AGENCY dynamic. Now we’re talking about a real WIN-WIN-WIN scenario!!! The company adds a great member to their team, the employee lands the full-time position, and the agency earns kudos for helping make it happen.

These individuals now have the opportunity to develop their skills and career and to make a real difference for the company. And every company needs that type of employee!! I even know of several who were promoted to higher-level positions – including management!! And it all started as a “temp”.
